Plagiarism Policy

The journal maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism in all its forms, including self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, and inappropriate paraphrasing. All submitted manuscripts are screened using iThenticate plagiarism detection software prior to the peer-review process.

If plagiarism is detected at any stage — before or after publication — the editorial board reserves the right to reject the submission, request corrections, or retract the published article in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The submitted work is original and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Proper citations and references are provided for all previously published materials.

  • Permissions are obtained for copyrighted content used within the manuscript.


Article Processing Charges (APCs)

To support the costs of open-access publishing, peer review, editorial management, digital archiving, and website maintenance, the journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 3,000,000 Iranian Tomans per accepted article.

There are no submission fees, no fees for rejected articles, and no additional costs for color figures or supplementary materials.
Authors from low-income institutions or developing regions may request a partial waiver or discount, subject to editorial approval.

Payment is requested only after final acceptance of the article and prior to online publication.


Peer-Review Process

Intelligent Management and Development Strategies follows a double-blind anonymous peer-review process, ensuring the highest standards of academic integrity, fairness, and objectivity. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process to prevent potential conflicts of interest.

Steps in the Peer-Review Process:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening: The submitted manuscript is reviewed by the editorial office for compliance with journal scope, formatting requirements, and ethical standards.

  2. Plagiarism Check: All manuscripts undergo a plagiarism scan using iThenticate.

  3. Assignment to Reviewers: Manuscripts that pass the initial check are sent to two or three qualified independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript’s subject matter.

  4. Review Evaluation: Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, theoretical contribution, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal’s aims.

  5. Editorial Decision: Based on reviewers’ feedback, the editor-in-chief makes one of the following decisions: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.

  6. Revision Stage: Authors are expected to address reviewer comments comprehensively and resubmit the revised manuscript within the specified time frame.

  7. Final Decision and Proofing: Once accepted, the article undergoes final copyediting and proofreading before publication.

The typical review period ranges from four to six weeks, depending on the complexity of the manuscript and reviewer availability. The journal strictly adheres to ethical review standards following the COPE and Elsevier guidelines on responsible peer review.


Archiving and Repository Policies

Intelligent Management and Development Strategies is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. The journal ensures that all published articles are permanently archived and retrievable through multiple digital repositories and indexing systems.

Self-Archiving Policy:

Authors are permitted and encouraged to:

  • Deposit the preprint (before peer review), accepted manuscript, and published version (PDF) in institutional or subject repositories.

  • Share the published version on personal or professional websites, research networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu), and institutional repositories immediately after publication.

  • Retain the right to use their articles in teaching materials, academic presentations, or future compilations, provided proper acknowledgment of the original source is maintained.

Journal Archiving:

All published materials are archived on the journal’s official website and in secure digital repositories to ensure continued availability, even in the event of system failure or discontinuation. The journal cooperates with national library archiving systems and academic databases to guarantee permanent digital preservation.
