Author Guidelines

The journal Intelligent Management and Development Strategies (راهبردهای مدیریت هوشمند و توسعه) welcomes the submission of high-quality, original manuscripts in the field of management, intelligent systems, and strategic development. All manuscripts must be prepared according to the following guidelines. Submissions that do not comply with these requirements may be returned to authors for revision prior to the review process.

1. General Requirements

1. All submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under simultaneous review by another journal.

2. The full text of the article must be written in Persian, with abstracts in both Persian and English.

3. Each article must also include an extended abstract in English (between 1000 and 1500 words) summarizing the entire paper (Introduction, Methods, Findings, Discussion, and Conclusion).

4. The manuscript should be prepared in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).

5. The file name should include the corresponding author’s last name and the article title (e.g., Ahmadi_Intelligent_Management.docx).

6. The page layout must be A4 size, single-column, with margins of 2.5 cm on all sides.

7. Line spacing should be 1.15, and the text should be justified on both sides.

8. All citations and references must follow the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th edition style, using in-text citation in the format (Author, Year) and a complete reference list at the end of the article.

2. Structure of the Manuscript

The manuscript should contain the following elements in order:

1. Title Page

   • Article Title (in Persian and English)

   • Authors’ Full Names (in Persian and English)

   • Institutional Affiliations (in Persian and English)

   • Corresponding Author’s Email Address and Contact Number

   • ORCID ID (if available)

   • Type of Article (Research Article, Review, Case Study, Conceptual Paper, etc.)

2. Persian Abstract and Keywords

   • The Persian abstract should be between 200–250 words.

   • It must briefly state the objective, methodology, main findings, and conclusion.

   • Provide 3–6 Persian keywords, separated by commas.

3. English Abstract and Keywords

   • The English abstract should be a faithful translation of the Persian abstract, between 200–250 words.

   • Include 3–6 English keywords corresponding to the Persian ones.

4. Main Text (Full Article in Persian)
   The main body of the article should generally follow this structure:

   • 1. Introduction
     Background, research problem, objectives, theoretical framework, and hypotheses (if applicable).

   • 2. Literature Review and Theoretical Foundations
     Review of prior research, relevant models, and conceptual discussions.

   • 3. Methodology
     Description of research design, population, sample, instruments, data collection methods, and analytical techniques.

   • 4. Findings / Results
     Presentation of statistical or qualitative findings with appropriate tables, figures, and analysis.

   • 5. Discussion
     Interpretation of results in the context of prior research and theoretical implications.

   • 6. Conclusion and Recommendations
     Summary of main findings, limitations, and suggestions for future research or practice.

5. Acknowledgments (if any)

   • Acknowledge financial support, institutional contributions, or individuals who contributed indirectly.

6. References (in APA 7th edition style)

   • All sources cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and vice versa.

   • References should be listed alphabetically by the author’s surname.

   • Examples:

     • Book:

     • Journal Article:

       Davis, F. D. (1989). Perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and user acceptance of information technology. MIS Quarterly, 13(3), 319–340.

7. Extended Abstract in English (1000–1500 words)

   • The extended abstract must include the following sections:

     • Introduction (with background and research purpose)

     • Methods and Materials (briefly describing participants, instruments, and procedures)

     • Findings (key results, without detailed statistics)

     • Discussion and Conclusion (main interpretations and implications)

   • No citations are required in the conclusion paragraph.

   • The extended abstract must be written in clear academic English, using Times New Roman 12 pt, single spacing, and justified alignment.

3. Formatting and Typographical Rules

Additional Formatting Notes:

• Use automatic page numbering (bottom center).

• All tables and figures must be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1) and referred to in the text.

• Each table/figure must include a clear title and source (if applicable) below it.

• Avoid using colors unless essential for clarity (e.g., graphs or charts).

• Mathematical symbols, variables, and equations should be typed clearly using standard notation (not images).

4. Submission Process

1. Authors must submit their manuscripts through the online submission system available on the journal’s website: [Insert Journal Website].

2. Along with the manuscript file, authors must upload:

   • A cover letter addressed to the Chief Editor, confirming the originality of the work and the absence of concurrent submissions elsewhere.

   • A conflict of interest statement (if any).

   • Ethical approval code (if the study involves human or animal subjects).

3. Submissions will be acknowledged via email within 3–5 business days.

4. The editorial team will conduct an initial screening (scope, plagiarism check, formatting). Only qualified manuscripts will proceed to peer review.

5. Peer Review and Publication Process

• The journal follows a double-blind peer review system.

• Each manuscript is reviewed by two or three independent experts in the relevant field.

• The review process typically takes 4–6 weeks.

• Based on reviewers’ comments, one of the following decisions will be made:

  • Accept without changes

  • Accept with minor revisions

  • Major revisions required

  • Reject

Authors are expected to address all reviewer comments carefully and resubmit within the given deadline. After acceptance, the article will undergo professional editing, layout formatting, and final proof approval prior to publication.

6. Ethical Considerations

• Authors must comply with the Publication Ethics Policy of the journal, consistent with the COPE guidelines.

• Any form of plagiarism, data manipulation, duplicate submission, or unethical authorship will result in rejection or retraction.

• Studies involving human participants or animals must provide ethics committee approval and informed consent documentation.

7. Article Processing Charges (APC)

• The Article Processing Charge for accepted manuscripts is 3,500,000 Iranian Tomans, payable after final acceptance and before publication.

• No submission fees are required.

• There are no additional charges for color figures or supplementary materials.

8. Copyright and Licensing

• Authors retain full copyright of their work.

• Published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.

• This allows others to share, copy, and adapt the material for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the authors and journal.
