Digital Maturity for Assessing Organizational Readiness

Objective: The aim of this study is to assess the digital maturity of organizations and identify their readiness to adopt and implement digital transformation.
Methods and Materials: This research employed a qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews for data collection. NVivo software was used for data analysis. 23 managers and experts in the digital field from Tehran were selected as participants. Data were collected and analyzed until theoretical saturation was reached.
Findings: The results indicated that digital maturity in organizations is strongly influenced by factors such as IT infrastructure, human resources, organizational culture, and managerial readiness. Additionally, organizational readiness for digital transformation is directly linked to transformational leadership and support for innovation. The study emphasizes that organizations with advanced infrastructure, an innovation-friendly culture, and human resources with high digital skills perform better in implementing digital transformation.
Conclusion: Based on the findings, for successful digital transformation, organizations need to enhance their infrastructure and human resources, while also cultivating a suitable organizational culture to embrace digital changes. Transformational leadership and organizational support for innovation are key factors in achieving success in this process.
