Objective: This study aims to systematically examine the competencies required for managers in the era of technological transformation and identify their key dimensions.
Methods and Materials: This qualitative review study analyzed 12 selected articles published between 2018 and 2025. Data were coded and analyzed using Nvivo version 14 until theoretical saturation was achieved. Selected articles were chosen based on their relevance, scientific validity, and focus on managerial competencies in the context of technological change.
Findings: The qualitative analysis revealed that future managerial competencies are structured around three main dimensions: cognitive and technological competencies, including digital literacy, data-driven decision-making, and technological foresight; interpersonal and cultural competencies, including digital leadership, digital emotional intelligence, cross-cultural communication, and innovation culture; and strategic and innovative competencies, including systems thinking, technological entrepreneurship, data governance, technological risk management, and environmental sustainability. These dimensions interact with each other to form a comprehensive framework for effective management in the digital era.
Conclusion: The findings indicate that future managers must develop technological, human, and strategic capabilities in an integrated manner to effectively lead organizations in complex and transformative environments. Developing competencies across these three dimensions not only enhances productivity and innovation but also enables ethical, sustainable, and human-centered decision-making, providing a foundation for designing managerial training programs and organizational policies in the digital age.
